Hi.

Excellent photo, congratulations! Did you see a good number of Bulwer's Petrels on the trip from Madeira to the Desertas? As you know, it is usually possible to see many individuals of this species in the sea around Madeira, particularly close to the Desertas.

Best regards from the Canaries.

Hello Rubén,

Thanks for the compliment. The term "spray and pray" is most suitable for fotographing during a pelagic.

On the 2 pelagics near Desertas, Bulwer's Petrel was by far the most numerous species. During the last pelagic we saw several hundreds of them.

Greetings

Hi again.

Thanks for your response. I remember seeing a lot of Bulwer's Petrels during a pelagic trip to the Desertas several years ago. On the other hand, the number of birds breeding in Deserta Grande is quite high, with occupied hollows in stone walls even around the warden's house.

Best regards from the Canaries.
