We spend 3 nights and mornings and saw a total of 7 birds.

As Hans mentioned one individual (of four) kept actively hunting until sunrise in one field, and one pair started do display after sunset and chasing away another making his advances at the marshes. Be patient and don't leave early as another photographer did with a guide to have the best views (hunting and displaying).

Avoid the services of the locals as their technique is flushing the owls by running into the vegetation or slamming a stick on the plastic covers. They can be stubborn and don't take no for an answer, so best just to avoid contact. So be there either very early before sunrise (the farmers also start working later) and/or at sunset till it's dark to observe natural behavior.
